Water Quality

Water Quality

Any temporary water supply installed by Temporary Water Solutions Ltd, where we abstract water from a utility supply, deliver it in our dedicated drinking water tanker or bowser and stored in our storage tank for distribution (point of delivery) is considered as “wholesome.”

At TWS, we use the term quality assured. Quality assured means that we have introduced measures to ensure that each step of the process in supply a temporary or emergency water supply meets all industry guidance and regulations. For instance, If a 2000 litre tank is delivered to a building site for welfare use:

  • The tank, pump, pipe and fittings are WRAS approved
  • The tank, pump, pipe and fittings are stored away from any fuel source, kept cosmetically clean and are subject to a disinfection (chlorination) regime in line with BS8551:2015
  • All equipment is delivered and installed by and EUSR accredited operative
  • The water tanker or bowser delivering the water will be WRAS approved, and operated by an EUSR accredited driver
  • Water will be abstracted under licence, from a designated water utility fill point

For larger installations where build a full water network (at a festival site for instance), which is connected to the incoming water mains, we then adhere to the Private Water Supply Regulations, Water Supply (Water Fittings) and BS8551:2015. In these circumstances continual monitoring of the water supply is required

Operationally, we ensure adherence to:

  • BS8551:2015 – The code of practice for provision and management of temporary water supplies and distribution networks.
